El Niño changes the odds. It doesn’t guarantee the outcome.
A strong El Niño can increase the likelihood of a wetter Southern Arizona winter, but seasonal outlooks cannot tell us exactly what will happen at any one home.
Why This Guide Exists
Before the Rain was created to cut through the noise and give homeowners practical things they can do now routine maintenance, safe inspections, warning signs to watch for, and guidance on when it’s time to call a professional.
The goal isn’t to prepare for disaster. It’s to take care of the things your home already needs.
Want to follow the season as it develops?
CLIMAS provides ongoing Southwest climate updates and El Nino resources throughout the winter.
